Our annual Battle of Britain Commemoration event will be in St George’s Church, Jesmond at 1400 hours.   The usual civic dignitaries will be present, together with support from the RAF Air Cadets and Northumbrian Universities Air Squadron and music will be by the Backworth Colliery Band.   Attendees are asked to be seated by 1345 at the latest and there will be the usual social gathering in the Church Hall afterwards.   It is a matter of regret that RAF Boulmer have declined to support the event.
